Our Founder - Jarman Sokoto
Alhaji Ummarun Kwabo Born March 10, 1954, Alhaji Ummarun Kwabo holds the prestigious traditional title of Jarman Sokoto in the Sokoto Sultanate. As a successful businessman and chairman of STCC Group of Companies, he has dedicated his wealth and efforts to Islamic education and caring for orphans.
His deep commitment to Islamic values and care for vulnerable children earned him the beloved title “Uban Marayu” (Father of Orphans). Through UK Jarma Academy, he continues the prophetic tradition of caring for orphans while providing them with strong Islamic foundation.

Islamiyya Section
Our Islamiyya program is one of the most important parts of student life, with classes held:
- Weekdays: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday (3:00 PM – 6:00 PM)
- Weekends: Saturday & Sunday (9:00 AM – 3:00 PM)
What Students Learn:
- Complete Qur’an memorization (Tahfeez)
- Beautiful recitation (Tilawah)
- Arabic language mastery
- Islamic books and classical texts
Conventional Section
Academic Excellence: Started in 2018 with Primary 1-5, our conventional section has grown to include Senior Secondary, offering both Science and Arts classes.

Football: One of the most loved activities teaching teamwork, unity, endurance, brotherhood, and discipline—values reflecting the Islamic spirit of cooperation.
100-Meter Race (18 students – boys & girls): A lively, energetic race inspiring effort, focus, and determination. Success in life, like in the race, comes through hard work and persistence.
Sack Race & Egg Race (16 students): Fun games bringing laughter during school fun days, teaching balance, patience, and carefulness while helping students relax and bond.

UK Jarma Academy was founded in 2018 by Alhaji Ummarun Kwabo (Jarman Sokoto) in response to the urgent needs of children orphaned and displaced by the Boko Haram insurgency in Northern Nigeria.
Our students include orphaned and displaced children from Borno, Yobe, and Sokoto affected by the Boko Haram insurgency, as well as children from local families seeking quality Islamic education. We provide special care and support for all students, with particular focus on those from vulnerable backgrounds.
Our Islamiyya classes run:
- Weekdays: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday (3:00 PM – 6:00 PM)
- Weekends: Saturday & Sunday (9:00 AM – 3:00 PM)
Students learn:
- Tahfeez (complete Qur’an memorization)
- Tajweed (proper recitation rules)
- Tilawah (beautiful recitation)

- Hadith and Sunnah

- Primary Classes: Primary 1 through Primary 6
- Secondary Classes: Senior Secondary (SS1-SS3) with both Science and Arts streams
- Monday to Thursday: 7:30 AM – 1:30 PM
- Friday: 7:30 AM – 12:00 PM
